The effects of climate change on our cities: on Friday, June 26, 2026, I will address this topic from a landscape design perspective during the interdisciplinary training seminar “Climate Impact in Urban Transformations“ organized by the Municipality of Milan, the Board of Architects PPC of Milan, the Board of Engineers of Milan and the State Property Agency.
Together with architect Simona Basilico, we will illustrate concrete solutions and design approaches to manage urgent environmental challenges such as drought and extreme weather events. We will highlight recent projects like Feel UpTown—a model integrating nature and urban innovation—and Rain Garden, a sustainable stormwater management system based on Nature-based Solutions (NbS).
The free event aims to explore technical-cultural aspects and best practices for designers and public administrations. It will take place in person at the Conference Hall of Palazzo Reale in Milan, as well as online via webinar.
